I’m curious. What did you use to draw that sans and pap dressing up in suits thing? It looks like it was done on paper but then again it looks so amazing and the colors were done so nicely. If it’s done on paper, HOW DO YOU COLOR IT SO NICELY!? (And what do you use to color it) if it’s done on software, HOW DO YOU DRAW SO AWESOMELY AMAZING!?
Well to answer your (and a few others people’s) question I drew that comic and the Night Terror Sans comic all on paper then colored it/refined it digitally.
Here the way I do it….
I take a picture of any drawing in my sketchbook on my iPad.. Let’s use this one!!
Then I go to the app where I do all of my photo editing/refining/coloring and digital art. Procreate! It’s a great art tool and works just like any other top of the line computer software like SAI and if you know how to use it properly it could be used like Photoshop
So what I do is I first edit the photo in “curves” (mostly until the background is lighter and the lines are darker but not making the background completely white or the next few steps won’t have the right effect and won’t apply)
Then I add a layer over the image and change the mode to “multiply”. This is how I do my basic coloring and shading
Now for the GLOWY STUFF (which is what most of you have asked about) I change the layer mode to “overlay”. This is what I was talking about when I said not to make the background too light. Overlay changes the hue and brightness of the layer it sits on top and if the background is too light then there won’t be much Of a difference.
And that’s pretty much all there is to it!! I hope this helped!!
