Did you know the Hawaiian pizza that everyone is familiar with isn’t actually Hawaiian. 1) It was invented by a Greek-Canadian. 2) pineapples aren’t native to Hawaii, they were brought over later. The Hawaiian name given to them is “Hala Kahiki” because it resembles the Hala fruit and “Kahiki” sorta translates to something like “from foreign lands” (so a “Foreign Hala” :/ ). 3) Though Ham is delicious, Kalua pig is authentic Hawaiian style!
