The City of Greensboro Needs Help

bree-has-a-phd-in-zorology:

As some of you are aware, a tornado hit North Carolina yesterday (4/15/2018), destroying schools, homes, power lines, cars, sending many to the hospital, giving thousands without power and food, and killing 1 person in his car (crushed by a tree). It traveled from the city and up to where I live, it was heading straight for my neighborhood, we had no time to prepare or to leave to take shelter; we were shaking and sobbing, we could feel the air pressure change (it felt like my chest was going to give in). Death (or severe injuries) was coming for us and fast, it was a few seconds from hitting our neighborhood before changing its course north of us. I had never been more scared in my life, anticipating a tornado to kill my mother and I, not being able to see my brothers (older is in Oregon, and my little brother was spending the weekend at his dad’s house) ever again, to never accomplish my dreams, finish college… After having that experience, I felt empty/ dead inside and all I know is that I’m glad it changed course and that I want to help my city and those who were deeply affected by the tornado. Our county’s community was quick on relief efforts, I have never seen such love and outreach before. To help my community, I’m asking anyone who sees this post to please donate money and/or reblog this post.
