girl i hope you appreciate your boyfriend. he just stood practically on top of a horror movie monster so you could get out of the elevator first. he loves you.
are we going to ignore the actress who got kicked in the face
well thats the price you pay for fucking terrifying someone
This whole post is GOLD
Yea, if youâre an actor and you deliberately try to freak people out then you need to be aware itâs flight or FIGHT. Thereâs a chance that someone will run away screaming but someone could also square up and try to kick your creepy ass.
By deciding to be a creepy bastard you are accepting the possibility that you might end up getting hurt and I do not feel sorry for you.
But a quick reminder: if you go to a haunted house, DONT GO if you know you react to fear with violence. Youâre paying to be scared by these actors; theyâre doing their jobs. They donât deserve to be punched for something you signed off on.
But if youâre an actor or prankster whoâs picking targets who didnât consent ahead of time, be warned, you might get punched.
Hey everyone! So with the panic, I want to spread some positivity & tools to be proactive about a lot of the worries users have regardless of whatâs coming down the absurd Tumblr pipeline.
Thereâs 3 great ways to save/download your content; the first will be one you can use to save online (great esp. for those who donât have âspare roomâ on their computer), and the latter two will save things locally:
1) save online by exporting to WordPress
saves âonlineâ by copying your content to a WordPress blog. requires signing up there.
downloads into a ZIP folder. may include messages & inbox content too.
As wary as you might be of Tumblr (and for fair reason), they actually have a way to export your blog already. Follow the simple instructions here; really, it boils down to âgo to Settingsâ, âchoose which blog from the rightâ, âscroll to the bottom and click exportâ!
Personally, Iâd use this one, especially if you want a bit more clarity in what & where youâre downloading. You can find the application & instructions here, but some of the immediately obvious perks include being able to queue download times (eg, set to download when youâre sleeping/away), the ability to throttle bandwidth (so it only takes up so much at a time, in case you need to be working online in the meantime), and options to download only a set list of URLs or only original content (so it skips reblogs/in case you only want certain things downloaded).
Hopefully this helps! I know not everyoneâs been through a mass shift in fandom homing before, and even if you have, it can be an exhausting and/or daunting process. Take a deep breath, donât panic, and look out for resources to make it easier!
For those of you that actually want to save your blogs for some reason
A ton of posts are now being flagged as sensitive content thanks to Tumblrâs new idea to make it adult content free. However, you can request a review so they can fix it. I know itâs tiring, and I know itâs not our fault that Tumblr canât do a simple thing right, but I refuse to have any of my SFW creations being taken down just because Tumblr doesnât know how to write an algorithm.
So hereâs what you can do, even if you arenât the OP.
Any post that has been flagged will show something like the image below at the top of the post, even if itâs a reblog.
If youâre the OP, a REVIEW link will show up at the right margin of the red bar where it says âYour post was flaggedâ. Click on it, and then click REQUEST REVIEW, like the image below.
After youâll get a message in an orange bar saying âYour post is in content appealâ, meaning theyâre evaluating whether their algorithm screwed up or not. If it was wrongfully marked as sensitive (and it most likely was), youâll get an email being alerted to that your post is now visible to everyone again.
Alternatively, if you arenât the OP, but your reblogs are flagged as well, (which in this case, youâll see something like the image below in your flagged reblog), you can message the OP about it so they can request a review.
Please, donât ignore this! Itâs bad enough that adult content is being deleted because Tumblr canât deal with p*rn bots, but having content that has absolutely nothing to with adult content being deleted as well can be fixed, even if weâre the ones who have to ask for said fix.
Tumblr wants to take away all adult content on the platform, abandoning a large majority of itâs userbase which uses the site for this exact matter. Please sign the above petition if you would like to keep tumblr the way it is. They need to be shown that they will lose a HUGE amount of their traffic if theyâre too carry this through.
