any white at a protest who tries to go against police and deliberately provoke a response from them is not to be trusted and does not have the safety of black and brown people in mind.
there is a good chance that they are police too. if anyone, especially a white dude, ever randomly gets your attention and conspiratorially tries to convince you to jump a police officer, then dude is a cop. They have been using this technique and script for at least 30 years.
Check their fucking shoes. Theyāre always too afraid that their little toesies will be hurt so theyāll usually still be rocking the exact same boots as the guys on the other side. This was what gave the cops away when they provoked riots in Toronto a while back.
@talesofalamia, remember when I pointed out the shoes of the two well-dressed informants near us?
Similar note: IME, unmarked cruisers have five distinguishing traits:
1. Theyāre one of the department-issue models. 2. Theyāre always white, black, or dark blue. 3. They always look like they just rolled out of a car wash. 4. Usually rocking restricted plates. 5. Most reliable if present but hardest to spot: Their mirrors are bulkier, to fit the light rigs in.
In Austin the under cover officer that tried to convince me to set a cop car on fire had a convincing fake beard.
Be careful out there and read up on common tactics used against protestors before going.
You can usually see the stealth lights if you look into the grill.
Besides the old obvious as fuck Crown Victoria, be suspicious of 2013+ Ford Taurus and Explorer, 2006+ Dodge Charger and Dakota, 06-13 Chevy Impala, 11+ Chevy Caprice and both the Tahoe and Suburban.
Look for oversize mirrors, plugs on the roof and/or A pillar, lights inside the grill, extraneous lights inside the headlight assembly, lights tucked up behind the rear view mirror, steel wheels with or without wheel covers, and plugs or short antennas on the trunk lid.
Reblogging this for two reasons: 1. So people who have reason to be afraid of the police (which is pretty much anyone with significant melanin) see it. 2. Uh, good writer reference for describing undercover cop carsā¦
Thank you so much everyone!!Ā ā„ā*:.ļ½”.o(ā§ā½ā¦)o.ļ½”.:*āā„

Hey fellow creators! So, as some folks may have recently become aware, Tumblr posts with external links donāt show up in relevant tags (as detailed in this post). IE, if you post a Steven Universe picture and tag it āSteven Universeā and thereās an external link in the post, it wonāt actually show up in the āSteven Universeā tag! This is very frustrating! What if I make a post and want to link to my Twitter in the description? What if I want to link people to my online store when I post a piece of art? What if I want to link to a YouTube video and still have it show up under the relevant tags I put into the post?
Hold on to your butts kids cuz hereās how we cheat the system.Ā
ā
The thing about Tumblrās Anti-Linking nonsense works is that it only blocks external links. Internal links are fine. So if you wanted to post a link to another Tumblr post, or someoneās Tumblr blog, youāre good. But if you wanted to link to your Twitter page or something, youāre screwed. So, all we gotta do is make your external link into a Tumblr link. Sounds weird. I know. But hereās how it works.Ā
First, go to your Tumblr blog. Hit the āEdit Themeā tab.Ā
In the theme editor sidebar, scroll all the way to the bottom, theĀ āPageā section. (Hereās what mine looks like- I already have a few of these set up)
HitĀ āAdd a Pageā, and this window will pop up. By default itās set to be a Standard Page. Hit the dropdown and selectĀ āredirectā.Ā
For this example, letās say I want to link to my Twitter page. Iāll name the pageĀ āTwitterā (this is what the redirect URL will end up being- IE yourblogname.tumblr.com/Twitter), and insert my Twitter URL under theĀ āRedirect Toā tab. LeaveĀ āShow a link to this pageā turned off. (Unless you want the link to show up on your blog, in which case, turn it on. Do what you want, Iām not your mom)
HitĀ āSaveā, and your new page should now show up on your Page list!
And done! So now, letās say I wanted to use the new link in the text portion of a post. Simply use the Tumblr redirect link instead of the direct URL! As a test, I linked to my Twitter in a test post, using the redirect link instead of the direct link, and there it is in the tag! Success!
I recommend making a Redirect Page for any external links youāll be using frequently. I like to post links to my webcomic/Twitter in posts fairly often, but doing that made me take a pretty big hit since my posts wouldnāt show up in tags. With this method, I can keep the external links, and have stuff show up when I tag it! Workarounds are fun!Ā
Youāre telling me there has been a Gay Island this ENTIRE TIME and Iām only just finding out about it????
WHAT
okay, but not enough people know the details on this. people at pride were upset about gay rights in australia. so they decided to sail 200 miles into the coral sea just ācause and put a rainbow flag on a fucking empty island out of spite. and iām talking empty. no inhabitants. zero. it was a flat piece of land with a bit of dry grass. now it has a camp site and a post office.Ā
they have a declaration of independence that talks a bit about gay rights and then just flat out copies the ālife liberty and the pursuit of happinessā part from the american declaration of independence. and hereās the best part: the founding group actually elected their emperor. he was originally going to be called the āadministratorā of a republic. their website, however, says that āupon legal advice, his title was changed to that of Sovereign on the grounds that under Australian law a defacto prince trying to claim his crown cannot be charged with treasonā. so they made it a kingdom and he nowĀ claims to be a descendent of edward ii.
everything about this is glorious and everyone should know about it.
