Anyway the last point I have to make here is that even if tumblr breaks under the algorithm (almost certain if they donā€™t back out of using it) and/or everybody leavesā€¦ I donā€™t have anywhere else to go or post things

people like to joke about it being bad, but I legitimately really like Tumblr. it actually feels like a blogging platform in a world where facebook and twitter are active political weapons that manipulate us elections. i donā€™t feel like iā€™m baring myself to content i donā€™t want to see here, or having to engage with a popularity-focused culture. the content isnā€™t sorted to influence you or trick you. itā€™s a bunch of people being themselves on their own terms. itā€™s oldnet.

yes, i do use other websites, but iā€™m not interested in posting personal things to any of them. this was a place i had control over and iā€™ll stay with it until i canā€™t. and when that happens thereā€™ll be nothing left.

I also really like tumblr. Iā€™ve never been on the ā€œtumblr is a hellsiteā€ train.

Today sucks.

It runs like a hellsite but I liked being able to curate a very specific experience here, that I donā€™t think I can do on any of my other social media. Iā€™ve created a Twitter handle specifically so I can follow my favorite blogs as they exit until someone else (pillowfort, apparently?) can support what I liked about this site. I hate Facebookā€™s lack of anonymity and required mutualism, I dislike Twitterā€™s interface, Iā€™ve never gotten into discord or whatever the others areā€¦ So Iā€™m just sad, mostly, that Iā€™m going to lose this just as I was really getting into it.

Same here, Iā€™ve always loved TumblrĀ despite all of the bs this site goes through, but this definitelyĀ takes the cake. Iā€™d alwaysĀ run to this site whenever I needed a break from life, I’veĀ used TumblrĀ more than I’veĀ used any other social media and now it’s getting swept out from everyoneā€™s feet. I don’tĀ even run any n s f w blogs and Iā€™m scrambling trying to find everyone I follow onĀ other sites because even things that are s f w are being flagged. Its only been a day, who knows how many innocent people have been deactivated already…Ā 

I hate this so much, Tumblr was the one place that I could chill out and be 100% myself, carefree; a place where I could meet other people who had the same interests as me and where I could hide from the politics and homophobicsĀ but now this site only gives me intense anxiety as Iā€™m waitingĀ for the next person to disappear; I can barely have a complete thought that’sĀ clear enough to type an understandable sentence, auto correct is basically writing this for me

You ok, Noko? Deals big with people being idiots can be pretty draining ^-^; How about I draw something for you? Your choice, friend. Keep in mind that Iā€™m still learning how to do complex designs and poses. Other than that, Iā€™m willing to try anything.

I donā€™t want to give people straight answers and encourage them to get everything they want without effort. I canā€™t even imagine how these kind of people will be able to deal with UnderDecay and it almost scares me.. * Sigh* Youā€™re a sweetheart, but I donā€™t need art to be comforted by people, if you draw something, it must be your decision alone ;u; kay ?

Ayayaye! Guys! Take a minute before you stress out a Mun with a bunch of questions! They have lives of their own, and take time out of their day to answer your questions. If they wanted they could just ignore em, but instead they choose to be nice to their followers and answer your questions, including the dumb ones. Before ya stress out the Muns with dumb questions, try to logically answer it yourself? Sometimes you already know the answer before it’s even said. Use your imagination! If not, maybe try doing a little research? The internet is there for a reason. šŸ˜‚ Please be mindful of the Muns, a good portion of the time you don’t know what they could be going through, and thoughtless questions and comments can just make it worse.
